Wilson Technology, Inc. is proud to announce its role in helping launch the Hinds County Safety Camera Initiative, the first county-wide public safety camera initiative in the United States. Unveiled during a press conference at the Hinds County Emergency Operations Center, the groundbreaking program leverages Brivo Eagle Eye 911 Camera Sharing technology to provide emergency dispatchers with real-time visibility during critical incidents, improving situational awareness and accelerating emergency response.

Designed and installed by Wilson Technology, the initiative includes 72 solar-powered security camera cabinets strategically deployed throughout Hinds County, including the City of Jackson, the Town of Terry, neighborhood associations, churches, and areas surrounding schools and universities. The program has already demonstrated success in helping deter illegal dumping, supporting criminal investigations, and enhancing public safety throughout the community.

“Wilson Technology is committed to the safety and security of our community and our state,” said Fredrick Wilson, CEO of Wilson Technology, Inc. “We are actively working with local organizations and municipalities to expand this innovative public safety model and help create safer communities throughout Mississippi.”

The Hinds County Safety Camera Initiative represents a new approach to public safety, bringing together government agencies, educational institutions, businesses, churches, and neighborhood organizations through a collaborative technology platform designed to protect residents, support first responders, and improve quality of life. As other counties and municipalities look to replicate this successful model, Hinds County and Wilson Technology are helping lead the future of community-driven public safety innovation.
